The Leap Into The Unknown.

The Journey So Far

Ladies and Gentlemen welcome back and today we explore more into the journey so far, In the early days, my path was one of quiet observation and gentle steps. I chronicled the whispers of the woods, the silent encroachments of neglect, and the subtle signs of imbalance. Each blog post served as a stepping stone, guiding me deeper into understanding the delicate harmony of Pont-Y-Pandy Woodlands. From the initial stirrings of concern to the realization of a community's potential, The narrative has been one of awakening and preparation since our starting point of this blog. As time flowed, it became evident that observation alone would not suffice. The woodland's cries grew louder, echoed by the community's rising unease. I reached out, extending hands to local organizations and the council. The woods, once a haven, had become a site of desecration, burnt waste and discarded needles marring its sanctity. My appeals found resonance. local politicians from the Morgan Jones ward became a beacon of change and as such giving a sense of presence, amplifying the concerns and prompting the council to act. This collaboration marked a pivotal moment, transforming solitary efforts into a collective movement to rejuvinate a once declining area.

Local Press Coverage:

The local press, attuned to the community's heartbeat, brought my story to the forefront. An article highlighted the distressing discovery of used needles in the woodland near Gallagher Retail Park, a revelation that stirred both shock and action among residents and officials alike . For a time, the woods buzzed with activity calls exchanged, emails sent, and conversations sparked on street corners. It was a testament to what unity could achieve. In those weeks, I personally removed over 400 needle tips and more than 1,000 kilograms of waste. A small victory, yet the path ahead remained challenging.

Closing thoughts:

reaching the local press after such a long effort should never be understated or misunderstood, It was the early days of Pont-Y-Pandy research that had been fully focused on community improvement and dedicated to the prosperity of our future generations, Few joined the cause and began to follow my journey and with each new person came a small piece of hope it was my mission from this point to continue this venture be it Rewilding or Reporting. so Ladies and Gentlemen, until the next time... Take care.
